Electrical System in Car

When you have a failure in the electrical system it can be a problem, but the Mechanic at Elite Auto Experts can trace and repair your electrical system problem. Our electrical specialists are more than capable of diagnosing and fixing electrical issues. These electronics range from clocks, stereo systems, power windows, and locks, and built-in GPS navigation devices, to ignition coils, alternators, headlights, and the ECU. The road vibrations, bad weather, and temperature changes can cause them to fail.

Your car’s electrical system consists of the battery, starter and alternator. The battery provides juice to the starter. Then, the alternator gives that battery the energy it needs to power your car. If one of these parts has a problem, your car won’t run correctly. Our mechanic can perform an electrical system check to make sure everything is working the way it should.

The main component of the electrical system are:

BATTERY

Until your vehicle starts, your battery is providing the car’s entire electrical current. Provide the electric needed to the starter, to the coil and injectors to start up the car.

STARTER

While the battery supplies the power to start your vehicle, the starter is really what gets the engine going. The battery supplies a small amount of power to the starter motor. The starter then turns the flywheel, which turns the crankshaft and begins the movement of the engine’s pistons.

ALTERNATOR

When your engine is running, the alternator keeps the battery charged and the electrical system going. Your car can start with a faulty alternator, but it won’t be able to run for an extended period of time.
